Patient Consultation – Concerns after Pregnancy, Childbirth and Breastfeeding
Following the births of her children and subsequent breastfeeding, Dr Hunt’s patient found that the size and shape of her breasts had changed, a problem that is common in women following childbirth.
The patient had a desire to increase her breast size so consulted with me regarding a breast augmentation with implants to increase her preoperative A cup to her desired C/D cup. On examination, I found BT to be a valid candidate for a bilateral breast augmentation. During the consultation process, we discussed her options and decided on teardrop-shaped, implants that would be inserted underneath the pectoralis muscle. The incision site would be in the inframammary fold at the bottom of each breast.

BT’s surgery was performed as a day procedure. Dr Hunt used cohesive silicone gel anatomic, or teardrop-shaped implants under the muscle.
